Tambaram- Nagercoil:Special train
On the occasion of Diwali festival, people from southern districts living in Chennai will go to their hometown in large numbers. Already, all reserved tickets on regular trains are sold out. There is ticketless status in both government and private buses.
Considering this, Southern Railway has announced that a special train will be run between Tambaram-Nagarkoil. Accordingly, this special train will be run from Tambaram to Nagercoil on 10th, 17th and 24th. This special train (06061) departs from Tambaram at 7.30 pm and reaches Nagercoil at 7.10 am the next day.
9 berth coaches, 6 triple A.C. boxes, a double decker A.C. The coaches are to be operated as a train with two unreserved coaches. This train stops at Chengalpattu, Villupuram, Vrudhachalam, Trichy, Dindigul, Madurai, Virudhunagar, Chatur, Kovilpatti, Tirunelveli, Valliyur.
Similarly, a special train will be run between Nagercoil and Mangalore on 11th, 18th and 18th. A special train will be run between Mangalore-Thambaram on 12th, 19th and 26th. Booking for these three trains is underway.
