Vande Bharat Express train has been introduced across the country and is being implemented to connect different regions, thus people can reach the specified distance quickly.

At this time Vande Bharat Express train number 20835 was moving from Rourkela towards Bhubaneswar. Some miscreants pelted stones on the train in Odisha's Dhenkanal-Angul railway section between Meramandali and Budapank on Sunday evening.

In this incident, the window panes of the train were damaged. The railway police on duty informed the higher authorities about this. Following this, Railway Security Force and Government Railway Police were alerted.

The Assistant Security Commissioner of the Railway Security Force immediately left for the spot from Cuttack. In a statement released by the Railway Department, a complaint has been lodged with the local police about the incident. Strict action will be taken against those who throw stones. It has been informed that East Coast Railway Zone Security Unit is also involved in the process of identifying the culprits along with the local police.

In this case, 2 people were arrested in the incident of stone pelting on the train. Regarding this, the Railway Security Force of Talser area and the Crime Investigation Unit of the Railway Security Force joined forces in the search operation in the Kurta Road area yesterday evening.

In this, the police arrested 2 people who were hiding in a separate place near the railway tracks. On questioning them, it was revealed that they had pelted stones on the train.

During the investigation it was found that they were drunk and pelted stones on the train for sport. They agreed to this. After that, the authorities produced both of them in the court in Dhenkanal area.

In other parts of the country, similar incidents of stone pelting on the Vande Bharat Express train have taken place in the past. However, it is reported that none of the passengers were harmed.
